# 2026-27 Kings Fantasy Preview

*The Kings were relatively quiet during a busy offseason, but they remain committed to a rebuild. Unfortunately, they were unable to find trade partners for their expensive veteran core, creating a roadblock to meaningful fantasy value for some of their younger players early in the season.*

### Domantas Sabonis, PF/C

**📊 Trend:** ⬇️

**🗝️ Key Stats:** PTS, REB, AST, FG

**⚠️ Risk:** 🟠➡️ 🔴 Medium to High

**🔓 Value Unlock:** Improve 3-point shooting, stay healthy

**💡 Quick Hits:** Sabonis underwent season-ending surgery to repair a torn left meniscus in February, but his recovery and rehabilitation went well, with no setbacks. The big man is expected to be fully cleared for training camp and will look to bounce back from a disappointing 2025-26 campaign.

**❓ Big Question(s):** Will the Kings finally find a trade partner to offload Sabonis? If so, how will he fare with his new club?

**🎯 Draft Range:** 45-55

**⭐ Fantasy Take:** Poor FT%, high turnovers, limited 3-point production, and a lack of defensive stats have always capped Sabonis' fantasy ceiling. The torn meniscus only added another layer of risk. While he still has bounce-back potential, it's safer to let someone else take that gamble, especially with so many appealing big men available in the same draft range.

### Keegan Murray, SF/PF

**⚠️ Risk:** 🟢 Low

**🔓 Value Unlock:** Rekindle his 3-point shooting while retaining his newfound defensive prowess

**💡 Quick Hits:** Murray underwent arthroscopic surgery on his ankle to remove loose debris in May 2026\. His 2025-26 season was injury-filled, and the forward ended up with a mixed-bag performance as he battled his way to 23 games played. He averaged a career-low 1.4 3PG, but set career-highs with 1.0 SPG and 1.6 BPG. 

**❓ Big Question(s):** Can and will Murray capitalize on the departure of DeMar DeRozan? Will we finally see him evolve into a true two-way threat?

**🎯 Draft Range:** 95-105

**⭐ Fantasy Take:** The Kings want to begin a rebuilding phase, and the franchise views Murray as part of their long-term future. Murray may never become a primary scorer, but his low turnovers and well-rounded stat set make him one of the better glue guys in this range.

### Zach LaVine, SG/SF

**📊 Trend:** ⬇️

**🗝️ Key Stats:** PTS, 3PM, FG%, FT%

**⚠️ Risk:** 🔴 High

**🔓 Value Unlock:** Adapt his game to score more and hit more 3s

**💡 Quick Hits:** LaVine underwent season-ending surgery to his right hand last season. Not only was LaVine limited to playing 39 games, but he also had subpar production almost across the board. He opted into the last year of his contract with the Kings and will have a lot to prove if he wants to land what could be the final major contract of his career. 

**❓ Big Question(s):** Is it finally time to fade him out almost completely? Is a bounce-back overly optimistic considering LaVine’s injury history?

**🎯 Draft Range:** 110-120

**⭐ Fantasy Take:** LaVine remains a high-risk pick, but his ceiling has been closing in on him. His top-50 days are behind him, making him more of a late-round source of 3-point shooting with decent FG%.

### Darius Acuff Jr., PG

**📊 Trend:** N/A (Rookie)

**🗝️ Key Stats:** PTS, AST, 3PM

**⚠️ Risk:** 🟢 Low

**🔓 Value Unlock:** Improve shot selection, develop on the defensive end

**💡 Quick Hits:** Acuff is looking like the Kings’ bet to be their point guard of the future. It will not be a smooth rookie season for him in fantasy, as he projects to encounter headwinds when it comes to his FG% and STL categories. 

**❓ Big Question(s):** Will Acuff’s scoring and playmaking be enough to offset his inherent stat set issues?

**🎯 Draft Range:** 115-125

**⭐ Fantasy Take:** Acuff is best viewed as a potential breakout guy in the second half of the season, especially if the Kings finally get to offload Sabonis and LaVine, veterans who are extraneous variables in their rebuilding goals. Still, he can contribute some points and dimes from Day 1\. His fantasy ceiling ultimately hinges on whether he can become an efficient scorer. 

### Maxime Raynaud, C

**📊 Trend:** ⬆️

**🗝️ Key Stats:** PTS, REB, FG%

**⚠️ Risk:** 🟢 Low

**🔓 Value Unlock:** A Domantas Sabonis trade

**💡 Quick Hits:** Raynaud was a pleasant surprise in 2025-26, outperforming expectations after being selected 42nd overall in the 2026 NBA Draft. He stepped into the role of starting center when Domantas Sabonis went down and looked comfortable taking on the role of rebounder and low-post scorer. 

**❓ Big Question(s):** How much value can Raynaud produce coming off the bench while Sabonis is healthy and still on the Kings’ roster?

**🎯 Draft Range:** 135-150

**⭐ Fantasy Take:** We can very well be looking at the Kings’ center of the future in Raynaud. However, their center of the present, Domantas Sabonis, remains on the team, despite shopping him over the offseason. Patience may be required, but Raynaud has one of the clearest paths among late-round centers to becoming a difference-maker if Sacramento finally moves Sabonis.

**👀 Players to Watch:** Malik Monk, Dylan Cardwell, De’Andre Hunter
