*The Knicks ended a 53-year championship drought in 2026, but the team cannot rest on its laurels. The Eastern Conference became far more competitive with recent off-season player movement and stars returning from injuries. What kind of fantasy production will the defending champions bring to the table in 2026-27?*

Karl-Anthony Towns, PF/C

**🗝️ Key Stats:** PTS, REB, AST, FG%, FT%

**⚠️ Risk: 🟢** Low

**🔓 Value Unlock:** Return to hitting two-plus 3-pointers per game

**💡 Quick Hits:** KAT brings a solid stat base of points, rebounds, and clean shooting percentages. Unfortunately, his 3-point shooting showed some regression last season. 

**❓ Big Question(s):** With looming contract extension negotiations on the horizon, how will KAT’s motivation translate into meaningful production and fantasy value this season?

**🎯 Draft Range:** 18-25

**⭐ Fantasy Take:** KAT has been a reliable asset recently, playing over 70 games in back-to-back seasons. Even though he doesn’t offer much in the blocks department, Towns is a solid cornerstone for many fantasy team builds.

  
Jalen Brunson, PG

**📊 Trend:** ⬇️

**🗝️ Key Stats:** PTS, AST, 3PM, FG%, FT%

**⚠️ Risk:** 🟢 Low

**🔓 Value Unlock:** Bounce back in AST and FG% categories

**💡 Quick Hits:** Slight hits in Brunson’s assists and FG% were enough to drag down his overall fantasy value. This is what happens when a point guard naturally offers nothing on defense. 

**❓ Big Question(s):** Winning an NBA championship can make players turn lackadaisical. Will Brunson et al fall into this trap?

**🎯 Draft Range:** 30-40

**⭐ Fantasy Take:** NBA titles aside, the pre-draft fantasy basketball market can be quite unforgiving, and Brunson’s stock has fallen considerably. There’s no need to be the one to buck the trend, just because you’re counting on a bounce-back, or you’re a Knicks fan. 

  
OG Anunoby, SF/PF

**📊 Trend:** ⬆️

**🗝️ Key Stats:** STL, 3PM, FG%, FT%, TO

**⚠️ Risk: 🟢** Low

**🔓 Value Unlock:** Return to scoring 18 PPG

**💡 Quick Hits:** OG was solid as a rock last season and delivered production with both efficiency and diversity. It’s hard to go wrong picking Anunoby when you’re looking for both 3s and steals.

**❓ Big Question(s):**  How much more offensive responsibility can Anunoby absorb without sacrificing the efficiency that has made him so valuable in fantasy?

**🎯 Draft Range:** 45-55

**⭐ Fantasy Take:** OG so often slides in drafts as teams scamper to secure their guards and centers. While that trend has held true for many seasons now, don’t be too complacent that he slips from your grasp.

  
Mikal Bridges, SG/SF/PF

**📊 Trend:** ⬇️

**🗝️ Key Stats:** STL, 3PM, FT%, TO, Games played

**⚠️ Risk:** 🟢 Low

**🔓 Value Unlock:** Be more aggressive on offense, hit more 3s

**💡 Quick Hits:** Bridges saw a significant drop in production and fantasy value last season. While games played used to be his best “category,” last season was almost his only good category as the wing saw a decline in minutes, points and threes. 

**❓ Big Question(s):** Has OG Anunoby been so good that he’s made Bridges become superfluous? Are there any avenues for Mikal to regain some of his former fantasy stock?

**🎯 Draft Range:** 75-85

**⭐ Fantasy Take:** When it comes to totals, Bridges still has his appeal. However, the reduced scoring volume has taken its toll on his value. Feel free to fade him this season.

  
Josh Hart, SG/SF/PF

**🗝️ Key Stats:** REB, AST, FG%, TO

**⚠️ Risk:** 🟢 Low

**🔓 Value Unlock:** Improve his steals and blocks

**💡 Quick Hits:** Hart is a do-it-all kind of guy, who often doesn’t get enough love in drafts thanks to his low scoring average. Hidden within his well-rounded stat line is the fact that he’s a fantastic source of rebounds from the guard slot.

**❓ Big Question(s):** Have we seen Josh Hart’s ceiling, or is there still another gear waiting to be unlocked in his fantasy game?

**🎯 Draft Range:** 90-100

**⭐ Fantasy Take:** Hart is one of those sneaky picks that we love here at 9Cat Ninja. He delivers value without being in the spotlight. He’s a fierce competitor who often is able to play through minor injuries, something that further adds to his appeal in fantasy.

**👀 Players to Watch:** Miles McBride, Jose Alvarado, Andre Drummond
