2026-27 Warriors Fantasy Preview

The Warriors were unable to improve their roster in the off-season beyond drafting Yaxel Lendeborg. They missed out on their trade and free agent targets, leaving their team mostly intact from last season. They’re reportedly planning a “gap year” this season, focusing on internal player development, but what does that mean for their players’ fantasy outlook in 2026-27?

Stephen Curry, PG/SG

📊 Trend: ↔️

🗝️ Key Stats: PTS, 3PM, FG%, FT%

⚠️ Risk: 🟠 Medium

🔓 Value Unlock: Not get shut down towards the end of the regular season

💡 Quick Hits: Curry managed to stay productive last season, but due to several nagging issues, mainly a bad case of patellofemoral pain syndrome (runner’s knee), Curry ended up playing just 43 games, his fewest in the 2020s.

❓ Big Question(s): Are concerns about Curry’s shutdown risk enough to push his ADP where his per-game production becomes worth it?

🎯 Draft Range: 15-20

⭐ Fantasy Take:  The declaration of the Warriors doing a “gap year” is concerning as it increases the possibility of Curry becoming a shutdown candidate towards the end of the season, when Golden State becomes clearly out of playoff contention. Curry becomes much more appealing if he slips beyond his usual range, because the shutdown risk is already being priced into the discount.

Kristaps Porzingis, PF/C

📊 Trend: ⬇️⬇️

🗝️ Key Stats: BLK, 3PM, FT%, TO

⚠️ Risk: 🔴 High

🔓 Value Unlock: Stay healthy, maintain his offensive efficiency while staying on the floor

💡 Quick Hits: Porzingis dealt with a laundry list of health issues last season, most notably Achilles tendon injury recovery, a calf injury, and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), limiting him to playing just 32 games for the Warriors. Dealing with injuries has been a longstanding issue for KP, making it difficult to trust him in fantasy. He is expected to begin the season healthy.

❓ Big Question(s): Can the Warriors manage Porzingis’s workload enough to preserve his shaky health and for him to post some kind of usable production in fantasy?

🎯 Draft Range: 95-110

⭐ Fantasy Take: Personally, I don’t trust Porzingis, and I avoid drafting him. However at this draft range, a lot of the risk that’s baked into him is mitigated. Again, draft him at your own risk.

Brandin Podziemski, PG/SG

📊 Trend: ⬆️

🗝️ Key Stats: REB, AST, 3PM, TO

⚠️ Risk: 🟢 Low

🔓 Value Unlock: Play with more confidence and consistency

💡 Quick Hits: Podziemski finished last season strong, posting solid numbers in the last 30 days. On the other side of the coin, he also proved to be a slow starter and was dropped by many teams.

❓ Big Question(s): How will the Warriors’ “gap year” this season benefit Podz and the other young players on the team? Can Podziemski turn his strong second-half stretches into consistent production over a full season?

🎯 Draft Range: 110-125

⭐ Fantasy Take: Podz is interesting because he’s actually a late-round risk-reward pick. He’s been a slow starter in back-to-back seasons now, but the upside he’s shown once he’s online has been inspiring. The hope here is that he’s reached the point in his development that he won’t need as many games to finally warm up.

Yaxel Lendeborg, SF/PF

📊 Trend:  N/A (Rookie)

🗝️ Key Stats: PTS, REB, AST, FG%

⚠️ Risk: 🟢 ➡️ 🟠 Low to Medium

🔓 Value Unlock: Quality playing time, key role from Day 1

💡 Quick Hits: At 24 years old, Lendeborg is a polished rookie with an NBA-ready game. On paper, he should be a good fit for the Warriors, who need players who are ready to contribute. He was a standout in Summer League, but it remains to be seen how well the forward can adapt to the pro game.

❓ Big Question(s): Will coach Steve Kerr fully integrate him into the Warriors’ system and allow him to thrive? How will the expected return of Jimmy Butler impact Lendeborg’s value?

🎯 Draft Range: 145-155

⭐ Fantasy Take: Consider him as an upside flier pick. The Warriors can get ugly very quickly and that’s a situation that will favor Lendeborg’s outlook moving forward.

Gui Santos, SF/PF

📊 Trend: ⬆️

🗝️ Key Stats: PTS, AST, STL, FG%

⚠️ Risk: 🟢 Low

🔓 Value Unlock: Improve scoring, make more of an impact on both ends of the floor

💡 Quick Hits: Santos emerged as a strong fantasy pickup off the waiver wire amid the Warriors’ injury problems last season. He was an efficient scorer who chipped in solid steals on the defensive end.

❓ Big Question(s): Did Santos do enough last season to earn himself guaranteed meaningful rotation minutes in 2026-27?

🎯 Draft Range: 140-150

⭐ Fantasy Take: Santos is in a sweet spot, having already earned his stripes. He has a promising game, but he still has a bit more to go before being a reliable fantasy asset.

👀 Players to Watch: Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler, De’Anthony Melton
